Sorry folks,

I really tought my pictures were high quality, but apparantly, the first shots I took weren’t all that great. Later shots are higher quality and since my new computer arrived a couple of hours ago, I have a lot more disk space, so I am going to set the game to take BIG and HIGH QUALITY pictures from now on. But untill generation 4, I’lll just have to make do with these.

As you can see, Anna’s pregnancy is advancing rather fast. She was 8 months along before she knew it.
Sheldon was a big help, but he had recently gotten a promotion in his military carries and didn’t have as much time to do the housekeeping as before. But money was still tight, so untill Anna could resume work, she would have to do the housework. Not that she minded, she is a rather neat sim and actually gets a kick out of cleaning (I would advise this to everyone: get a neat sim as you starter, that way they have fun while learning skills). So time went by and then there was the big day: Anna went into labour!

A few months after Sheldon spends the night, Anna finds out she is pregnant. It came totally out of the blue as she didn’t have any simptoms and they did NOT try for a baby. However, it is great news for our family-loving Anna.
She immediatly told sheldon who moved in right away. He didn’t want to miss the birth of his first child. Anna and Sheldon did get married right away. They wanted to make sure they belonged together before taking such a big step. Sheldon, being a mail carrier, did not bring in a lot of cash, but he did have great stats and found himself a job in the military carrier.

Gameplay notes:
I did not have Anna and Sheldon try for baby. Guess the 5% chance of becoming pregnant by woohooing is true. It was a nice surprise tough, now Anna can start her legacy early in het adult life and have more children!

Well, Anna had a tiny house build and was trying to start up her life. Being the family sim she is, she longed for a mate, someone to share the ups and downs of life with. She had a desperate want for a first kiss. Living alone in a new region made it very hard for het to meet people, especially since she didn’t have time or money to go out a lot. But them luck smiled at her. One day, while collecting her mail, she bumped into Sheldon, the mail carrier. It was love at first sight.

They really took a liking for each other and it wasn’t for long or Sheldon spend the night with Anna (He made up an excuse about being able to get to work easier or something, she saw right trough it but let him stay anyway…)

Will this be the beginning of a beautifull and long life together? We shall see…

Gameplay notes:
Anna and Sheldon fell in love without me interviening. I then decided to see if they really went well toghether but since Sheldon always came along rather late on the day (after work), I had to have him spend the night to buy Anna some more time.

Meet Anna Legacy

Anna, 22 and a family sim, just left her thriving business in Europe to settle in Rock Valley, on a plot of land she inherrited from her great uncle. It was a large plot, and the trip to the Valley and the cleaning up of all the weeds growing on it has cost her almost all of her life savings, so she had to start with very little, a box with only the bare minimum. Her uncle had been a very excentric man and has decided he only wanted to leave his land to his niece. And his great-niece. And his great-great nice. So Anna had to have a daughter, otherwise the land would be donated to a local charity (she believed it was the save-a-rock-from-rock-valley-foundation). But she was young and adventureous and decided to give it a go.
How will she cope living in the barest circomstances? Will she stay?

This story is the story of my legacy family. I play by the rules set out by Brian/Pinstar. Currently, my fourth generation is being born, I will try and get this blog up to date as soon as possible, but due to something time consuming (well, OK, exams), I can’t make any promises.

Welcome to this new blog.

I am Yicke, a 22-year old law school student. I live in Belgium (Europe) and attend classes at the KULeuven. I have been toghether with my boyfriend for over 4 years now and we plan to move in together as soon as I gratuate, which will hopefully be in 1,5 year from now. Untill then, I live with my parents. In my spare time, I sim (of course), play drame, paint and enjoy trying out different things on my computer. I have been a sim-freak since the first game came out for the Mac and now I play my game on a Windows-based machine (I borrowed one so I could play TS2 and since my Mac died on me, I got a PC to replace the Mac)

As I read and love many other weblogs about other peoples sims, and started to see the limits to the story-telling features on the MySims page maxis provides, I decided to start a blog of my own, mainly and for now about my legacy family, but in time the others might just pop by.
Now I just need to learn about a few things here: how to get the “read more” link so the posts don’t get to big and how to create links and stuff. I hope I figure it out fast… Any tips are always welcome!!
