It was early in the morning when Catherine felt the familiar pain in her abdomen. She smiled at herself, knowing her third, and their fourth child was going to be born on a beautifull spring day.

She got up, gently woke up Remington and taught about the past year. Oh, how it all had gone fast. The twins were big boys now, Darian was a cute todler who had just spoken his first words “mama” and “dada”, her grandmother had passed away a long time ago now.
Auw, the pain came back. Time to get into action.
“Remington, dear, it really is time now. This child will not wait very much longer!!”
Remington got up out of bed, quite reluctant, untill he saw the pain on his wife’s face, and then quickly called the midwife, who arrived shortly after. The baby was born in the wee hours of the morning. Déborah, finaly Catherine had her heiress, the legacy would continue. As the midwife took care of Catherine, Remington overlooked the crib with his baby girl. A girl, finaly. Their family was complete, and he knew it. Cat had always claimed that this fourt child was the last one, the family was big enough. Remington would have loved to have 10 children, but his wife had gotten tired of nursing all the time, she longed to get back to work and get started on her carrier, and who was he to stop her.
Time went by and soon Déborah was a cute toddler as well. Catherine spend all of her free time teaching her children. She never imagined to become such a family girl when she was a teen, but now, nothing pleased her more than to make sure her children got a head start in life by learning the neccesary skills.

Before she even knew it, their little alien was about to turn 6. Remington bought a beautifull birthdaycake at the patissier that morning and in the afternoon, they celebrated Darians birthday. He was so thrilled to see the candles on the cake! He had been talking about blowing out his big boy candles for a month! Each morning Catherine and Remington had a hard time convincing him his birthday was not yet there, and today it finaly was!
Darian, thanks to his mother and father, grew up perfectly and turned out to be the cutes green kid in the neighboorhood, as his two older brothers phrased it nicely while patting him on the back before fighting to get their hands on the biggest piece of birthdaycake. And their mother could only agree to that.
The night of Darians birthday, Catherine went to tuck in Déborah and felt a sudden melancholy overcome her.
As she kissed her baby girl goodnight, she realised Déborah was not going to be her baby for very much longer. Before she knew it, her children had all grown up to be good kids, and to be honestly, she missed having a baby around the house, to cuddle and take care of. Heck, she even missed the breast feeding.
