As she went to bed, she decided to talk to Remington about having another child. OK, the house was getting cramped, but China did nothing but talk about moving out asap once she was 18 and the twins wanted nothing more than to go with their aunty China (which China, family sim as she is, found a great idea, the twins were almost teens anyway).
“Remington, the kids are growing up, aren’t they?” Cat said softly as she was entering their bedroom.
“Yeah, but they turned out great, didn’t they? I’m glad we decided not to tell anyone about Darian, he is much happier this was. Plus we are safe. Thank you Catherine, for my boy”
“OUR boy, Remington. OUR boy. He is as much mine as he is yours, you know. But that’s not what I was talking about. Don’t you miss having a baby around? Déborah is hardly a baby any more and she will be grown before we realise it.”
“What are you getting at dear?” Remington frowned. What was his wife aiming at? He knew the kids were getting pretty grown up, but what could she be… OOOOHHHH… “Cat, you don’t mean you want another baby after all, are you?” “Are you????” he said eagerly.
“Well, if you didn’t mind, I would gladly” She didn’t get to finish her scentence as her husband had practicaly jumped her saying nothing but YES!!!!
Afterwards, laying close to each other, Remington softly whispered: “Wouldn’t it be great if we had conceived right now? I mean, the baby would be totaly the making of me loving you…”
Catherine smiled, slid her body closely to her husbands and whispered softly to him “Well, we could give the child another chance to be made” while smiling seductively. Remington didn’t have to be told twice.
The next day, Catherine talked to China. Her birthday was coming up and she wanted to make sure her sister didn’t feel pressured about leaving, even tough their relationship wasn’t all that lately.
“You know you can always stay China, I don’t want you gone”
“Oh, but I want to leave, big sis, I’m nothing but a spare heiress now that our darling Déborah is born. And listening to those sounds you two made yesterday, another one will be arriving in a short time”
How on earth did China know she and Remington had slept together yesterday? Oh well…
“You are my sister China, and I want nothing but the best for you. Where did I go wrong?”
“Being born, Catherine, you took the place that I should have had. You didn’t even want children growing up. I should have enheritted this house and the family money. But I didn’t, and now I will find true love for myself. I am leaving, and the twins are coming with me. They don’t feel special here, they feel like spare children as well” China said harshly and left the room.
Catherine’s eyes filled up with tears, but she had nothing she could do but tell her boys how much she loved them. She would leave them the choice, but she would never fail to see them at least twice a week.
A few days later, out of curiosity, Cat did a pregnancy test which turned out negatif. She cried, would she ever have another baby again? Maybe she was getting to old…
She dreamed about it at night, tossing and turning in her bed. She was so anxious she even started fearing that was the reason she was not pregnant yet.
But then, a month or so later, when she went to their family doctor for a check up, her congratulated her: she was three months along, they HAD conceived that first night!
The ran into the house and kissed Remington right there in the downstairs bathroom.
“Guess what?” Catherine said with a twinkle in her eye.
“I don’t know?”
“WE’RE PREGNANT AGAIN!!!!!!!” Catherine shouted! Remington was just as extatic as she was and held her so close she feared he would squeeze her lungs out.
Then he started talking to her tummy: “I will be the best dad you can immagine, little child. You will be spoiled rotten! Oh, just wait untill you are born”.
Catherine was moved by her husbands love for their child. Yes, this was going to be a happy kid indeed.
