Days went by and the family soon refound their rootine. They ate breakfast together every day, Catherine ensisted on it to keep them close.
But then, one day, not long after China had left, Catherine received a letter from their maid, describing what she had seen in the bedroom a few weeks ago. She told Catherine how she had caught mister Remington and miss China, both half naked on her wedding bed, both looking embarassed that she walked in, miss China with her breasts naked and mister remington with his pants unzipped. She said she had left instantly, but she wanted her mistress to know, since she respected her too much to let her live with an unfaithfull husband.
Catherine was gobsmacked. She didn’t know what to do, so she went the only place she could immagine: her grandmother’s grave.
At the grave, she cracked.
“WHY!!!” she screamed “why grandma? He told me he loved me, and only me. Wasn’t I a good wife? Why did he have to do this, with my sister!!!! Oh, I should have know, all men are alike.” She cried her heart out that morning.
