Before she knew it, Jennifer’s college years were over. She was now a college graduate, with a GPA of 3.8 (no summa cum laude for her, unfortunatly). She threw a graduation party and invited some of her girlfrieds she had made in class. Of course, Ira was there too but he had to go to class in the middle of the party and thus said his goodbyes earlier.

Graduation day

Once the party was over, Jennifer all of the sudden felt realy grown up. There was a tickly feeling foing trough her body as she spun around and all of the sudden turned into an genuine adult. No more putting soap in the fountain or hanging out on the sidewalk. No more term papers, worrying about GPA neither. Jenn was all grown up and ready to tackle the world!

Jennifer growing into an adult

She turned into a beautifull mature woman. Oh how she wished Ira was around to see her before she had to leave!

Isn't she lovely-Jen as a adult

Suddenly, a sadnes fell over her as she realised she was leaving. Right now. Leaving the life she had built for herself in the past 4 years, coming from abroad and turning into a well-adjusted woman, leaving the house she had worked hard to get and keep for her and her beau, leaving Ira for at least two years, untill he would graduate and join her in Rock Valley. Leaving basicly everything behind, as she had done four years ago: moving with nothing but the clothes on her back.

Looking sad.

After the two hour drive from the campus to Rock Valley, Jen found the plot of land she had purchased trough her real estate agent the week before. It was huge, and empty. She just sad there, looking around and getting used to the environment.

Here we are, on our own plot of land

After her purchase, she didn’t have much money left so she went to the employment agency and looked trough their computer. She settled on a job in the law enforcement, as it was her life-long dream to become a captain hero!

Job hunting

Time flew by. A month had passed and Jen had built herself a little house. Well, a little deck with an enclosed bathroom. It was all she could aford untill she earned a bit more money. Jennifer felt lonely at night, missing her fiancé more and more each day. As fall break was approaching, Jennifer called Ira and asked him to come and spend some time with her. Oh, how good it was to hear his voice again!

Jennifer calling Ira

Ira, who had missed Jen as much as she had missed him, agreed to come over and arrived a few days later. But what was planned to be a nice romantic get-together quickly turned into a disaster. Jen didn’t realise how sloppy Ira was, leaving his dirty dishes everywhere, never flushing the toilet. All he did was talk about the pranks he had pulled on everyone at college, the great toga-party he had thrown. Had her fiancĂ© always been so boring and childish?
Ira didn’t have as much fun as he tought he was going to have. When did his girl become this boring woman? All she did was go to work, cook, clean an talk about the future, hey, he had two more years of college to go, he didn’t want to make plans for some distant future. He didn’t know he wanted to have kids at all. She was never in the mood, always tired and treated him like she was his mother.
At one point, the bomb exploded and they had a huge fight, almost breaking up, that ended with Ira going back to campus before the break was over.

The fight between Jen and Ira

Jen felt left behind. She cried all night and did not know what to do. Maybe she was different? How was she going to solve this, she loved Ira and didn’t want to lose him.

Will Jen be able to get things mended between her and Ira? What is Ira’s point of vieuw on the whole situation? Will they break up or not? Keep reading!!
