What the heck was she thinking? That girl realy had lost it this time. She wasn’t his mother, telling him what to do. How on earth could he ever stay with a woman who tought he was dumb? OK, she hadn’t said that in so many words, but he felt it trough her conduct in those last few days.

Ira kept telling himself that he had done the right thing by coming back to Sim U a week early. Oh, she didn’t need to think he was going to mourne for their lost love. No sir, he, Ira, was going to live life to it’s fullest. Since the frat house was all empty with Jennifer gone, Ira decided to start finding some pledges. And find them he did!
The first girl he talked to was Tina, a friend of Jen’s. Ira threw all his male charms into the conversation and by the time the night was over, she was a pledge at his frat house!

He didn’t stop there, no, he continued searching for other people to pledge. Unconciously, he wasn’t looking for pledges, he was looking for someone who could help him forget about Jennifer, so when Jan came along, a cute blond girl, he pledged her right away. Well, actually, he did more than pledge her. This young woman reminded him of his fiancé so much, he just couldn’t resist and started wooing her. They danced the night away together, on the tones of the stereo and the college radio.

Ira felt lonely and sad and the dancing wasn’t making him feel better. He kept thinking about Jen. How was he ever going to be able to forget her? He wanted to, so badly. He wasn’t going to keep crying over her for any longer, he decided as he lead Jan of to his bedroom, not knowing what he was going to do once they got there. Jan, being young and rather unexperienced, was so excited and scared herself that she didn’t notice the doubt in Ira’s eyes and movements. She liked the guy and tought he liked her as well. Why not do this with him? It had to happen some time? She talked to herself to find some courage as she flattened the bedspread while Ira laid there, waiting for her to join him. Was this going to be a good thing for them both??

Ira knew the girl had no experience with woohooing what so ever, but he was determined to sleep with someone tonight. Maybe that would get his mind of Jennifer. Sure, Jan was pretty, and seemingly willing, so why not do it with her? Of course he didn’t love her, but hey, the girl never needed to know. He decided to proceed calmly, silently seducing untill she was ready and willing to give herself to him, so he cuddled up next to her untill she felt comfortable.

And then, he started kissing her gently. Ira was a good and caring lover and Jan started to melt under his well chosen touches.

Jan’s doubts melted like snow to the sun. She was ready for this and leaned in to make that perfectly clear to Ira. He was so nice, so tender, how could he not love her?
