In the mean time, Jan had joined a secret society. She spent as much time in there as she possibly could since they had some great skill-building ecuipment and her lifelong dream was to max all her skills, so she’d better get a head start.

They also had this amazing energiser machine, which was the secret of Jan’s night-long skillbuilding sessions: everytime she felt tired, instread of going to sleep, she went to the secret society and hopped in. The machine looked terrible, but it gave her this real big energy boost.

But life was expensive and Jan didn’t have time to go to work, so the easiest way was printing money on the secret societies machine. She had done it a few times before, and to great succes, so when Jan wanted to buy a new TV for the frat house, she decided to print a lot of those simoleans at once.

But this time, the cops had gotten word of a girl spending fake money in the campus shops. After an extensive search, they caught Jan, mid action. She got lectured by the police officer and had to pay a fine of 1000 simoleans!

Her personal life seemed to get better too. Jan had met this cute guy, Douglas, at the secret society and had pledged him to their frat house. He moved in right away and he and Jen became really close friends. One night, Jan realised she was completely in love with Douglas and confessed it to him.

Luckily, Douglas returned her feelings and answered her questioning look with a long kiss.

This felt so different from what she had felt for Ira. She realised that her feelings for Ira were mere friendship that she had mistaken for love. And she had even gotten mad at him for still loving his fiancĂ© (they still hadn’t broken the engagement!). Oh, she should make things up with Ira but first, she had to give in to her feelings for Douglas.
