Pregnancy was not easy on Jennifer, she felt tired all the time and often was asleep in the recliner by the time Ira came home from work.
She had read somewhere that meditating was good to keep those raging hormones under control and pretty soon became a big fan of eastern meditations.

Jen meditating

In her last trimester, Jennifer felt her nesting instinct kick in. The woman who always dreaded cleaning now couldn’t see a spot of diret in her house. All day long she was cleaning and organising the house.

One day, while bending over to clean underneath the kitchen cabinets, she felt a sharp pain in the abdomen, right before she felt a lot of warm fluids running from her legs. Jen realised her water had broken and she was in labour! She called up the midwife they had arranged to help her trough the delivery, notified her husband at work and sat down on the bed. But the pain got harder and lying down only made it worse, so when the midwife suggested she’d take a stroll down the house, Jennifer got up and started walking, which relieved her pain a little bit.

All that walking around speeded up things and before she knew it, her daughter was born. The girl had her fathers skin colour and black hair, but Jen didn’t mind, this was her baby, the proof that one should never loose faith that love will conquer all. And so they named the girl Faith, which also happened to be the name of Ira’s grandmother, but hey, the other story was much better!

Baby Faith and mommy

Jennifer loved every aspect of being a mother, she even liked changing Faith’s diapers better than reading her morning newspaper!!

Money was spares in the household as baby’s tend to cost a lot, so Jennifer pretty soon had to go back to work. Her hours and Ira’s were different, so there was always one of them at home with the little one. The first time Jennifer had to leave her child after Faith was born was hard, but she had to go, so she said goodbye to her baby before heading back to work.

And so life went on. The couple found a nice routine in life and before they knew it, 2 years had gone bye and Faith had grown into a pretty toddler.

Life couldn’t be any better now, could it??
