After a short but satisfying nap, Morgaine went to check on the lobster before taking a bath and getting ready for the dinner when all of the sudden she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen and a rush of warm fluid running down her legs.

Morgaine immediatly knew what was happening. She called for Gaheris, who came running and almost panicked seeing his wife in the puddle of water clutching her stomach.
“What? Morgaine? Now????”
“Yes dear, now” Morgaine replied calmly, seeing how her husband started to panick. “Be a dear, call your dad and ask him to come pick up Gwenny. Then please get the car. I’ll go and clean up a bit before we can go to the hospital. Oh and sweety, get the lobster please, it’s done.” and then she took of to the bathroom to wash and change.

Gaheris did as he was told, glad to be given something to do. His dad arrived quickly and said he would stay with Gwen. By the time they got to the hospital, Morgaine’s contractions were coming every 3 minutes and after another hour, she delivered her second daughter, who the proud parents called Althea.

Morgaine and baby Althea were released from the hospital three days after the birth. Morgaine was glad to be home, but running a house and taking care of a child and a newborn prooved itself to be more tiring than she had immagined. One evening, when Gaheris came home, he found his wife asleep in the recliner in the nursery.

But those tiring months passed as well and before they knew it, Althea was a 5 years old and her older sister had approached her teenage years.

A few weeks after Gwen’s 13th birthday, Morgaine went to see the family doctor. She had been feeling tired a lot lately and suspected she might be pregnant again.
The doctor confirmed her suspicions and congratulated Morgaine on her third pregnancy.
This time tough, being pregnant was not as easy on Morgaine as the other two times. She asked the doctor if her age could have anything to do with it, but he assured her 35 was still very young when it came to third children.
On the ultrasound she had taken when she was two months along, the reason of her weariness was exposed: Morgaine was expecting twins! As soon as they found out, Gaheris arranged something at work so that he could be home more to make the housework lighter on Morgaine, they hired a maid and Dorian came to pitch in whenever the young mother needed time to rest. And so, this pregnancy too passed by and after a pregnancy of 7 months and 20 days, Morgaine went into labour once again.

She was rushed to the hospital where she delivered two beautifull baby girls. Morgaine was released after a week and two weeks later, the proud parents got to take their twins home.
When he came out of the nursery that night, Gaheris couldn’t help but smile. He was the happiest man on earth, in the last 15 years he had married the woman he loved, had four beautifull daughter and got the father back he had lost when still an infant.

Wow … what a family. I’m glad that you managed to plow through the game even though you lost so much. Great stuff!

Hey Yannick, I didn’t realize you had started blogging again — I’ve been bad at checking all the sites on my list lately. I’m so glad you’re back though, and now I’m caught up on the Masons. They’re a really interesting family, and they’re coming along so well! And I love the name “Keffria”, very pretty.

@ Anjel76: Thank you. I didn’t have a lot of choice in the matter did I?? Plus, I had taken a lot of nice pictures and didn’t want those to go to waiste.
@ Jen: No problem, glad you found the way back. For the Keffria/Althea/Amber names (and some in future children), I have to give credit to the author of my favorite books, Robin Hobb, who, among others, wrote the Liveship trilogy.

Did someone lose siblings in a car crash or fire? That feels horrible. It happened to me when I was only 11 years old- it broke my heart.
